10 June 2019: Muscat, Oman: Kicking off the Truck Tyre Racing season, for its third straight year, Giti Tyre brings top truck tyre technology to the track, starting with its recent appearance at the famous Brands Hatch Circuit in the UK. The Team Oliver “satin-black” Volvo VNL race truck (See Image Attached) achieved strong overall results!

Driving the renowned Giti No. 7 branded truck was the expert Stuart Oliver, a 10-time British champion who also has wins in the USA at Pikes Peak, India; and moreover in Europe. Oliver and his vehicle were utilizing the newly adapted Volvo engine for the first time, and found strong performance from it and the vehicle’s Giti Tyres, riding mainly in the 3rd position. The unmatched performance of both the truck and tyres got the team ready for future races!

Giti’s specially-designed Giti Compete Race-Tuned V1 tyres are tuned through extensive development and testing, with technology that adapts Giti’s commercial truck tyres to truck racing environments. In-turn the results and data analysis from these highly intensive racing environments also help to improve Giti’s technology for all types of truck driving.

The action in 2019 is the third year of truck tyre racing for Giti, as it continues its growth of Giti brand truck and bus tyres globally. In 2017, Giti’s competition truck tyres appeared in competition for the first time, racing in the Super Truck Nationals in Australia. This followed a 2018 expansion to also include participation in the BTRA (British Truck Racing Association) in Europe, which took its tyres to some of the toughest tracks in the UK, Germany, and Belgium.
